Bullsh*t ... da boat wrecked, but the bottle survived. Folks should have emptied it ... or is there some tea in it now ... :-D Islandhopper 16:41, 28 August 2007 (MDT)
- That surprised me also :-), but I looked long and hard at the seal on the bottle, and I'll swear it looks intact.. I can only imagine it was washed ashore near a non drinking household,,, that placed the odds on it's survival, intact, at about 1/1000.
Having said that. My dad has told me stories about booze being washed ashore from wrecks and it was immediately hidden so that there was no risk of the receiver of wrecks finding someone drunk and knowing they had been plundering the vessels wreckage. Although those stories always ended with an empty barrel/bottles, hangovers, etc. after the receiver had been and gone. ;-)
