There are two place called Fugla Ness with lights on them. The Burra one which you have described is correct, and the other is in Sullom Voe, opposite the tanker jetties, at 60°27.3N 01°19.7W. This latter one is not a lighthouse, but part of a set of 'leading lights' which the ships line up to keep on course. Not worth putting it in I don't think, but as you had 'Fugla Ness' amongst the other Yell Sound Lights, I thought I would point it out as it is a bit confusing ! Heimdal 13:40, 23 March 2007 (MDT)

I see that I've said something about the Point of Fethaland Lighthouse being built among others to guide tankers to Sullom Voe, but there is not a thing mentioned about Fugla Ness being one of those  ! ?! ? Oddrun 15:06, 23 March 2007 (MDT)

Colors

This page says White, red and green, depending on direction...

Yes James,
Many lighthouses, including Fugla Ness, flash different colours. This is when they also act as guiding lights, such as is the case with this one.
Although you wouldn't maybe see that from land, or in my case, being colour blind, wouldn't see at all. ;-)
