Now that I've cleared up the dilemma of the Haaf Stations, perhaps this should be moved to a page "Herring Stations".

Just a note.
I've discovered that if a page is moved the Category retains the old name. The only way I see to fix that is to remove the category link from the new page, then add it again.. If that makes sense.

from the forum: The way we do it on the German Wikipedia:

i) delete the category from the page you want to move. ii) save the page (now without a category). iii) move the page. iv) add category to the new/moved page and save again.

important: you have to save after deletion of the category! (step ii)) you should not do steps i) and iii) in one action!! That might cause errors!

In case "Bygone Shetland" moved to "Herring Station" I had obviously forgotten to save the page in between ... SORRY Islandhopper 02:11, 8 March 2007 (MST)

Heimdal, Robbie, you're the fishing experts , ;-), but I put on those pics now, maybe we'll put on some others later , but from my point of wiev, I think they illustrate how busy Lerwick Harbour was about that time, there is a lot more history to be added, and hopefully some pictures of the curing stations too ! ;-)
