Talk:Jenny Gilbertson
Shetlopedia - The Shetland Encyclopaedia
@ghostrider: had a look for that book you mentioned while in the NLS cat: the author's name is different, but the initials match. Was it a nom-de-plume, mebbie?
Ex-isle, Thanks for that. It's a possibility, the title is right and the year fits for the right era. But, if I'm understanding the layout of the site correctly, it seems that the same author has published four other books:
The titles and subjects of the other four don't seem to be the kind of thing I'd expect JG to be writing about, but I could be very wrong.
I didn't realise she'd been an author as well, but that book title was mentioned in the notes on bayanne. I was getting nowhere searching under either Brown or Gilbertson though for more info on it, so I deleted it again until some confirmation could be found.

1903 as the year of birth came from bayanne, but with no date/month given there for it, it may well be approximate.
