Oh well, ;(
Any idea what the Jarl's name is?
Robbie 09:13, 27 January 2009 (MST)

Stephen is 'Othere Fra Hålogaland', born in Unst, and Kristoffer is Thorvald Thridrandisson

I have a sneaking suspection that the jarl can be "Ottar" from Hålogaland, he was a well known Norwegian in the viking era. When they have a funny spelling on the galley name, they might have managed something of the same on the jarl too !!!!!!
Can you give any confirmation on that???--Oddrun 09:40, 27 January 2009 (MST)
Found the confirmation myself ;-))), Ottar's name in the English translation of the Latin Orosius' History of the world, was "Ohthere" !!!!
