Great job all round everyone!

Well, the new visitors has been around 60% for a long time, but the number of page views and site visitors are gettting higher for each month....June 2008, and May this year are the exceptions, but that was when "Forvik" was in the news ;-)))
Up Helly Aa brings a lot of visitors, it shall be interesting to see the January visits next year !

The underlying trend from the statistics shows a steady increase in traffic. The new visitors remaining stable is good, although I may expand the Statistics page a bit to show items which give a better reflection of traffic to the site.
I've been watching this every day now for nearly 2 years, (OK statistics excite me), and there are many more factors than the ones which are currently on this page.
The new visitors figure is a blurry area, because that is inflated by people who accidentally hit the site through search engines. This figure really has to be compared to the 'Bounce Rate' to give any real understanding of the serious visitors who are new to the site.
I'm going to play with Google analytics a bit soon, and see how I can come up with a better presentation for this page.
In the meantime, if the visitor figures are always on an upwards trend, and likewise page views, we can't be going too far wrong. :-)
