Talk:The Unicorn

Am I right in thinking The Voder is another baa in the same vicinity as The Unicorn? I seem to remember "Voder View" at the north end of the old North Road was so called because they were looking straight at it?

My maps are all landlubber's maps, they only show that which is above water, so I'm a bit lost with baas and shaalds unless the ones I know.

The Voder is north past the Moul of Eswick.
Online OS maps here http://maps.the-hug.net/ put Lerwick in the search box, then you can drag the map around and zoom in (scroll wheel)to the bit you want. Easier than folded paper !

I never realised The Voder was so far north, I've been looking in the wrong place. I've bookmarked the map link, its a pretty good one, a whole lot easier and quicker to navigate around than some others online. Thanks.

I see at least one wreck claiming to have been on the "Middle Voder", wherever he may be, I've not got back to studying the map yet to see if it exists or if its just yet one more mixed up name.
