This seemed like a good idea.
It would be great if we could add a gallery with pictures of some sort for every year. Using the, link to section command, it would be easy to link each gallery to an individual Jarl, a Timeline entry, etc.. So if you have any old UHA pics lying about, please scan and upload, with as much detail as possible.

I have a few somewhere from either the '77 or '78 UHA's, possibly both, and both senior and junior UHAs. Mostly they're just as negatives though, the original prints having long since died, so it's a case of actually finding the negs and getting something done with them.

Where do we stand on copyright concerning a professionaly taken photo where a print is owned of it? I have a couple of prints from around the same era of junior squads taken by Dennis Coutts, and the prints were bought from him. I'm guessing his copyright allows me to own and sell on the actual print(s) I bought from him, but not to reproduce them in any way. Would I be thinking right on that or not?

Right on the Coutts prints. After about 70 years you can do what you want with them, but in the meantime he holds copyright.
Great if you can manage to revive any of the old negatives.
I'm going to email wir Jim an see if he has any pictures, non copyright, which we can use, because he has been in UHA for years. But perhaps like most guizers, he was too pished for pictures, other than those he bought from Dennis Coutts afterwards ;-) :-)))

I doot be da time dir 70 I'll be far ower littil wirt mesell ta duh muckle wi dem. Pity about the copyright, but it gives me a good excuse not to have to put my own ugly mug on the internet. ;-))

I'll have a dig round and see what I can find, there might be one or two prints still around that are okay to scan, probably just of the Junior one though I'd guess. Of the rest I do remember some at least were taken on a very dull overcast day, and were pretty dark, so whether they scan well even when printed up remains to be seen, but I'll find that out in time.
