Thomas Balfour

Thomas Balfour (b. 2 April 1810, d. 30 March 1838) was a Tory Party politician, elected as MP for the constituency of Orkney & Shetland on 9th February 1835, replacing George Trail. He served until 1837 when he was replaced by Frederick Dundas.
In 1978 the Kirkwall Grammar School published a 24 page booklet entitled "Thomas Balfour M.P. for Orkney and Shetland, 1835-1837".
