Trondra, from East Voe of Scalloway
Trondra, ( Old Norse : Þrondaey = Þrond's Island ), is an island connecting the Mainland to Burra. A local community hall was opened in 1986. Before the bridge was erected in 1971, a school and church were in use.
The Columbus wrecked on the isle on January 23rd 1800.
