Turniebrae is an estate of 15 houses in Dunrossness situated on the east side of the main A970 road, halfway between the north Boddam junction and the Quendale junction. Before this stretch of road was realigned in the 60's, it consisted of a series of bends and hence the name Turniebrae.
The housing estate was built in the late 70's for the SIC housing department, although some of the houses are now privately owned.
