The Union, a wooden hulled sailing smack, 10 net tons, built 1876, owner M. Georgeson. Scalloway, Captain W. Davidson. Foundered and sank while lying at anchor with a cargo of salt fish, in East Voe, Scalloway on September 15th 1896, during strong SE winds.
