This user has lived in Shetland

AKA Robert Alan Jamieson, native of Sandness, now settled in Edinburgh, where I work in the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Edinburgh. I convene the courses in Creative Writing there.

My main field of interest is Scottish Literature, specifically Scots language literature, including of course Shetland writing. I'm a writer as well, of fiction, drama and poetry, and I've been researching Shetland writers for a while. I'm pleased to find a place to publicise some of my output.
