Welcome

Thanks for all your work so far Peter! JAStewart 04:04, 21 March 2007 (MDT)

Many thanks James, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Something I've wanted to do for a long time. Just wondering how much more to put on? Think I'll round off the text, add a few more pictures, give it a slight reshuffle and call it a day. One or two other articles I could maybe work on? Incidentally, I am a (retired) musician too - drums. Founder member of Demlot many moons ago and took up bluegrass banjo for a while. More fragile than agile now. Peter

We don't want you to stop adding at all! Together about 5 or 6 of us have accumulated nearly 15000 edits between us! It can get quite addictive. We'd love for you to stay and become a frequent member. Create as much pages as you can, even one for your old band, we even have a section for disbanded bands! By the way, to sign your name at the end of your messages on your User:Talk pages type ~~~~ JAStewart 05:24, 21 March 2007 (MDT)

Many thanks again. I'll see if I can dig out a few old photos of the band. Writing articles is not so much a proble, trouble is, I tend to get carried away with too much finicky detail and it gets long winded!! I'll certainly be around for a while and put some more on. And let's see if those wiggly lines work for me... Peter II 06:45, 21 March 2007 (MDT) Yep! did a preview and it works. Thanks again.

Hi Peter

I noticed that you said you weren't aware of a standardized layout of a page, basically I think Shetlopedia would benefit from styling our pages somewhat like wikipedia, so the amatuer radio page could be formatted something like this:

Shetland Amatuer Radio ... (add a short description here, maybe, 5-15 lines.)

History

Add a bit of history here

Currently

(Maybe choose a better title then 'currently' ;) ). Discuss any ongoing things, and a recent history regarding amatuer radio

Shetland and Amatuer Radio

Here is where you can talk about the radio in Shetland (on second thoughts, maybe this should come before the other two headlines

Trivia

Quirky bits of information!

To be honest, the page is good as it is because it is unique, and full of pictures! :-D JAStewart 03:24, 30 March 2007 (MDT)
