Uyeasounnd World War I Memorial is a brass plaque, erected on the wall at the left side of the pulpit in Uyeasound Kirk, Unst and commemorates all the men from South Unst who lost their lives in the Great War.




The top inscription reads :
TO THE GLORIOUS MEMORY OF THE MEN OF SOUTH UNST
WHO HAVE GIVEN THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY

HONOUR TO THE IMMORTAL DEAD
Below the list of names it reads :
Heroes whose name we trace with love & pride
Endless our debt to you who fought & died
Ever shall thoughts of your victorious strife
Stir Shetland's sons to greater grander life
