Weisdale Kirk, formerly "The Free Kirk", was built in 1863.

The Kirk is surrounded by a beautiful garden, with walking paths and benches. Below the Kirk there is an open area with tables beside a small burn. The Garden, which was created with the assistance of the BBC Scotland Beachgrove Garden team, who screened a program about it, won a Shetland Environmental Award in 2006.
