West Hartlepool, England, registered in either St. Petersburg or Petrograd, Russia (the available records are in dispute), owner West Russian S. S. Co. Ltd. Petrograd, Russia, Captain V. Petroff Takareff.

While in passage from Archangel, Russia to Lerwick this vessel was torpedoed or otherwise sunk (the available records are in dispute) by the German submarine UC-40 at an unspecified location off the southern entrance to Lerwick Harbour on October 24th 1917.
