Free Beer

I'm going to be in Shetland from Saturday 5th until Sunday 13th July. I'll be attending a wedding on the first weekend, but I'll be available after that. Would be good to put some names and faces together.

If anyone fancies meeting up for a drink, I'll buy them a pint.

Well, so far I have had to buy all my own...

I am up again, 2nd week in July and again for last week end, my Auntie Caroline and Uncle Davies wedding anniversary.

You never know, we may meet up....

Will be staying at my Dads..

The Lesser Spotted one wants to see the Northern Lights. So we have been thinking about it for a while now. There has been some activity already. There is a Aura watch tweet http://twitter.com/Aurora_Alerts There will be alot of interesting stuff at my Dads, I already have found on my last visit a 1965 UHA program, I have photographed it all, the adds are interesting, perhaps another section of old shops in relation to addresses in the Street, may be a few older ads for companies that still exist today. and a bible dating back to 1696, there are some names in it so will have to go to the museum and check them out. Gonna be meeting up with Kev, my Dad has some tools he could use, I have a huge 1950s cam driven saw and a mini metal lathe as well. But I am goin to get images to build up the Burgh Road page, see if that works.
So, any particular images you need?

Oh, my Dad used to make spinning wheels and we have a load of stuff relating to that, moulds, templates a huge folder of drawings, ones he started. We found an old spinner in the back of my Grandads peat shed and he started to reproduce it, he made quite a few.
