This building is the northernmost building on the west side of Commercial Street.
It was built sometime in the last part of the 19th Century, and was known as Ogilvy's Buildings.
On the north side it borders the walls of Fort Charlotte. On it's south side it borders Charlotte Street.
Fort Charlotte Guest House is located in the upper floors of the building, but with entrance from Charlotte Street.
The current, (2010), occupants of the shops on the street floor is J.K. Mainland in 177, Smith & Robertson in 179, and Save the Children in 181.
