The Annie Bruce (PD239), a wooden hulled fishing lugger, 32 net tons, 37 registered tons according to one part of the record, but another part states vessel was unregistered, 19 L x 6 B metres, built 1892, 1893 or 1896 (the available records are in dispute), Captain and part owner J. Pirie, Peterhead, Scotland, seven crew. While on a fishing trip out of Lerwick foundered and sank with the loss of all hands at a position approx 3 miles SSW of Bressay Lighthouse, during Force 10 S wind conditions on April 13th 1897 or 1898 (the available records are in dispute).
