This vessel in passage from Lerwick to Archangel, Russia was sunk by the German submarine U100, Captain Degenhart von Loë, at a position approx 75 miles E by S of Muckle Flugga, Unst on August 9th 1917. She had been attacked by the German submarine U78 earlier the same day, sustaining damage and causing her crew to abandon her. All twelve souls of the crew were lost.
