The Ceres. This vessel, in passage from St Petersburg, Russia to, it is thought London, England, but possibly Lisbon, Portugal (the record is unable to specify which), laden with a cargo of wheat, was brought in to Bressay Sound in a sinking condition on an unspecified date in 1817.
The eventual fate of the vessel is not recorded.
