Englandsfarere

Englandsfarere, meaning literally "Englandfarer" or "Traveller to England"<ref>As with common foreign colloquial usage, "England" here refers to the entire UK, rather than just England by itself.</ref>, is a Norwegian nickname for those Norwegians who fled Norway during the Second World War, after their country had been occupied by Germany. Most of these people were refugees who left clandestinely, and because of its closeness to Norway, many of them went to Scotland and England via Shetland. Some also went via Orkney, or directly to Scotland and England.

Such journeys were known as Englandfarten, or North Sea Traffic in English.
