The Danish brig Jufron Ingester (alternatively Juffrau Ingester) of Copenhagen, 260 tons burthen or 260 tons gross, Captain Tummen, sailing from Iceland to Copenhagen with a cargo of hides, tallow, oil and wadmal<ref>Collins English Dictionary,Millenium Edition:
A Coarse thick woolen fabric, formerly woven esp. in Orkney and Shetland, for outer garments. From Old Norse; (vath = cloth) & (mal = measure)</ref>, was wrecked on Isbister Holm, Whalsay on 12th November 1778. One of the crew was lost, as was the cargo.
