The South Wick of Sound, (HU453824), is a small bay on the west side of the Shetland island of Yell. To the west of the bay is the Ness of Sound, an island like headland, connected to Yell by a tombolo which separates the South Wick of Sound from the North Wick of Sound.
The Girl Mandy wrecked or foundered in the wick or just north of the Ness of Sound on July 12th 1995.
