The St. Mathew of Hamburg, Captain Barkire, a full rigged ship, 400 GRT, was wrecked on The Framd, Hermaness, at the north end of Unst, on 22nd December 1740.
She was en route from Archangel with a full cargo of wheat, rye, and hemp.
All the crew were saved.
