The Trygg (LK188), approx 50 foot length x 18 foot beam, built of pine, possibly in Norway before 1940, registered in Foula. A claim has been made that this vessel was one of the boats involved with the Shetland Bus operation during World War II, but while her name and construction may suggest a Norwegian connection, it has not been possible to positively identify her among the vessels listed in the available Shetland Bus records.

This vessel was being used by divers Alec Crawford and Simon Martin as a diving support/transport vessel during their salvage operations on the wreck of the Oceanic on the Hoevdi Grund east of Foula. While lying at anchor in Ham Voe, Foula during a severe storm, her mooring chains parted and she wrecked at the pier in the voe on March 30th of either 1977 or 1978. (The official records state 1978, however in Mr Martin's own account of the event, he states 1977).
